Filmphilia is a personal, non-commercial project that shows where films and series are available to stream, country by country. We do not sell data, run advertising, or share anything with data brokers.

What we store

You can browse the entire catalogue without an account. If you choose to sign in:

  • From your Google account — your name, email address and profile picture. This is the standard profile and email scope; we never request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google service.
  • A session record so you stay signed in, and the OAuth tokens Google issues for that session.
  • Your titles — the films and series you rate or add, their ratings and watchlist flags, and anything you import from an IMDb ratings or watchlist CSV. These are used to generate your recommendations and nothing else.

A single cookie stores your selected country so the availability results match where you are. It holds a two-letter country code and no identifier.

Where it is stored

In a Postgres database hosted by Neon, accessed only by this application. The site itself is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request logs. Vercel Web Analytics records aggregate page-view counts and sets no cookies and no cross-site identifier.

Third parties

Title metadata, artwork and availability come from The Movie Database (TMDB) and the Streaming Availability API. Requests to those services are made by our server, not your browser, so they do not receive your IP address. Links to a streaming service take you to that service's own site, where its privacy policy applies instead of this one.

Deleting your data

Email privacy@filmphilia.com from your registered address and your account, ratings and imported titles will be deleted in full. There is no retention period and no archived copy — the records are removed from the database.
